Faux Chenille Scarf Workshop

In this workshop you will learn a fun and easy way to make a cuddly, warm scarf using the faux chenille technique.

Time: 9:30am to 12:30pm
Where: Phil’s Sewing Studio 400 E. 5th Street (across the street from Phil’s Sewing Machines)
Workshop Fee: $25.00 due at sign-up. The workshop fee includes the cost of the workshop, Faux Chenille Scarf Pattern (a $9.99 value) and instruction. You will need to bring your own fabric and supplies, see list below. These should be purchased prior to the Workshop.

- rotary cutter
- seam ripper
- fabric marking pencil/pen
- thread snips
- sharp fabric snips
- chenille slash cutter (optional and available for a 20% off discount when purchased with workshop)
- universal 90/14 needle
- walking foot (optional, but highly recommended)
- coordinating thread and full bobbin for construction
- 1 1/2 yards of 54” to 60” flannel
- 2 yards of 40” to 45” flannel
Sewing machine* in good working order with accessories, full bobbin and new universal 90/14 needle. We have classroom machines available for use at no additional cost and invite you to try one. If you would like to use one of our classroom machines, please let us know prior to the workshop.
*If bringing and using your own sewing machine, must be familiar with it, know how to thread, wind & insert bobbin, select straight stitch, and insert new needle if necessary.
