Midnight Clear Block-of-the-Month Quilt Top Workshop

Skill Level: Adult intermediate to advanced
This is a project that will include: build your piecing skills by sewing a 12-block sampler quilt top with 6 different block designs.
Project: 58” x 73” quilt top
Dates: Saturdays, September 8, October 13, November 10, December 8, 2018; and February 9, and March 9, 2019
Times: 9:30am - 12:30pm
1:30pm - 4:30pm (NEW TIME ADDED)
Where: Phil’s Sewing Studio 400 E 5th Street (across the street from Phil’s Sewing Machines)
Workshop Fee: $75.00 due at sign-up. The workshop fee includes the cost of the workshop, instruction, and Holiday Wishes pattern book (a $19.95 value). You will need to bring your own fabric and supplies, see list below. These should be purchased prior to the Workshop.

- 1/4” foot (optional)
- rotary cutter
- fabric scissors
- pins and/or clips
- seam ripper
- coordinating thread and full bobbin for construction
Fabrics: All fabrics should be starched and cut before the day of class.
4 yards background and inner border
1 3/4 yards light fabric (green in picture)
2 1/2 yards medium fabric (red in picture)
1 yard dark fabric (black in picture)
(If you wish to have more variety call for list of amounts for block fabrics)
1 yard outer border
3/4 yard binding
4 5/8 yards backing
Sewing machine* in good working order with accessories, full bobbin and new universal needle. We have classroom machines available for use at no additional cost and invite you to try one. If you would like to use one of our classroom machines, please let us know prior to the workshop.
*If bringing and using your own sewing machine, must be familiar with it, know how to thread, wind & insert bobbin, select straight stitch, and insert new needle if necessary.
